Dr. Desiree Eakin, MD
Board-Certified in Obesity Medicine, Pediatrics, and Aesthetic Medicine
Founder, Educator, Root-Cause Strategist
Dr. Desiree Eakin began her career in pediatrics with one goal: to help people thrive from their earliest days. But over time, she began to see the limits of traditional medicine—where symptoms were managed, but the deeper causes often remained unaddressed. That realization sparked a transformation.
Board-certified in both Pediatrics and Obesity Medicine, Dr. Eakin transitioned from primary care into the world of integrative and functional medicine, where she could ask better questions, treat the whole person, and empower lasting change. Today, she specializes in root-cause metabolic health, hormone optimization, and aesthetic wellness—bridging the gap between how you feel and how you look.
A graduate of the University of California, Irvine (B.S. in Applied Ecology), Dr. Eakin earned her Doctor of Medicine with honors from Ross University and completed her residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. She holds advanced certifications in aesthetic medicine, hormone therapy, and regenerative wellness, and remains board-certified by the American Academy of Procedural Medicine, the American Board of Obesity Medicine, and the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Eakin blends her clinical expertise with a personalized, whole-body approach—bringing together metabolic science, mind-body tools, and aesthetic artistry. Whether she’s supporting a patient through hormone therapy, body composition goals, or skin rejuvenation, her care philosophy is the same: treat the root, honor the whole, and restore confidence from the inside out.
She is a Key Opinion Leader in transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy (HIFEM), and serves as a principal investigator in multiple ongoing clinical trials. She also mentors medical students, residents, and physician assistant trainees, sharing her integrated approach to healing and hormone science.
Though she has moved away from pediatric practice, Dr. Eakin continues to support children's health through community outreach and nonprofit service. She currently sits on the board of the Children’s Benefit League of Long Beach, focusing her advocacy efforts where her heart has always been—on families and future generations.
Outside of practice, Dr. Eakin is a wife, mom of two daughters, painter, educator, and passionate lifelong learner.
Redefining Beauty Through Hormone Wisdom and Whole-Body Wellness
Having completed advanced training in aesthetic medicine, hormone optimization, and integrative wellness, Dr. Eakin remains dedicated to staying at the forefront of anti-aging science and personalized health, offering patients comprehensive care that supports both their appearance and well-being. She combines evidence-based medicine with aesthetic artistry to deliver natural-looking, rejuvenated results. Her philosophy centers on enhancing each patient’s unique features—achieving a youthful, refreshed appearance without ever looking overdone. With her keen eye for symmetry and deep knowledge of facial anatomy, she ensures that every procedure is not only beautiful, but also safe and personalized.
